Title: "Thoughts In Verse"
By George A. Wiens

THE HARVEST IS READY AND WAITING

THE HARVEST IS READY AND WAITING.
THE TOOL IS ALL SHARPENED AND BRIGHT.
IT IS READY TO REAP FOR THE MASTER,
BUT THE WORKER IS NO WHERE IN SIGHT.

THE MASTER IS LOOKING FOR WORKERS,
WHO ARE WILLING TO WORK THRU THE DAY.
FOR THE EVENING IS QUICKLY APPROCHING,
AND THE HARVEST WILL THEN FADE AWAY.

THERE IS NOT MUCH TIME TO TELL OTHERS
OF THE BLOOD JESUS SHED ON THE TREE.
HOW HE LEFT ALL THE GLORIES OF HEAVEN,
SO THAT THEY COULD FROM SIN BE SET FREE.

THE RICH, AND THE POOR, AND THE NEEDY,
AND THOSE IN THE GUTTERS OF SIN,
THEY ARE ALL JUST A PART OF THE HARVEST,
THAT THE MASTER WANTS YOU TO BRING IN.

THE LORD LOOKS FOR THOSE WHO ARE WILLING
TO GO TO THOSE SOULS LOST IN SIN.
OUT TO ISLANDS, OR DESERTS, OR JUNGLES,
WHERE THE PEOPLE TO JESUS THEY'LL WIN.

IF YOU TELL THE LORD THAT YOU ARE WILLING
TO FOLLOW WHERE EVER HE LEADS,
THE ROAD MAY BE ROCKY AND NARROW,
AND COVERED WITH THISTLES AND WEEDS.

BUT, REMEMBER WHERE EVER HE LEADS YOU,
NO MATTER HOW HEAVY THE LOAD,
YOUR BURDEN CAN NEVER BE GREATER
THAN HE CARRIES UP CALVARY'S ROAD.

YOUR AGE MAY RULE OUT FOREIGN MISSIONS,
BUT YOU NEVER GET TOO OLD TO PRAY.
SO REMEMBER THE DEAR MISSIONARY
WHEN YOU ENTER YOUR PRAYER TIME TODAY.

THE FIELDS, THERY ARE WHITE UNTO HARVEST.
THE WORKERS, INDEED THEY ARE FEW.
ARE YOU WILLING TO WORK FOR THE SAVIOUR?
THERE IS SOMETHING FOR EACH ONE TO DO.
